Canterbury have fended off interest from rival NRL clubs to re-sign star duo David Klemmer and Moses Mbye on four-year deals.

The contract extensions will keep the pair at the Bulldogs until at least the end of the 2020 season.

NSW prop Klemmer, 22, came through the junior system with the Bulldogs and was delighted to extend his stay at Belmore.

"I never really wanted to go anywhere else and to be here, surrounded and playing with these great guys, is where I want to be," Klemmer said in a club statement on Sunday.

Like Klemmer, the 22-year-old halfback Mbye has been in the Bulldogs' system for five years.

"The playing group we have, the staff, Des (Hasler), the members, are all things that contributed to my decision to stay and I'm happy with where were all heading," Mbye said.

Coach Des Hasler was happy to see the pair remain at Canterbury.

"I'm pleased that both of these young men have decided to stay with the club, Hasler said.

"It will ensure the future of this club is in good shape on the field."
